Résumé

The review of the last meta-analysis that compare, in the right laparoscopic hemicolectomy, the intracorporeal (IA) anastomosis versus the extracorporeal (EA) anastomosis, seem to indicate a certain advantage of the IA performance, referring to a reduction in morbidity, without finding significant differences in the rate of anastomotic leaks. However, all agree on the weakness of the recommendations based on the heterogeneity and retrospective design of the studies analyzed. It is very likely that the new advances in minimally invasive surgery, robotic devices and the improvement in the experience of the groups will convert the IA procedure into gold standard, but in light of the published, we are not yet in that time. Although it is a truism: the messages sent to the surgeons in training must be loaded with rigor and honesty, translated into reliable and safe recommendations for our patients.
