Embolización esplénica en el tratamiento de la lesión traumática del bazo

Resumo

Objective: describe a case report of a blunt abdominal trauma with splenic lesion. Materials and Methods: a 22-year-old man with abdominal pain after blunt abdominal trauma with splenic lesion and hemoperitoneum and active bleeding. We decide treatment with arterial embolization. Result: favorable evolution after embolization. After 1 year, the patient is assymptomatic. Discussion: we have treated splenic trauma with hemoperitoneum and active bleeding with spelectomy until now. We Describe this safe technique in hemodynamically stable patients. Conclusion: splenic arterial embolization is a safe technique for treatment of splenic trauma lesions.
