Resumen

Krukenberg tumor is a rare tumor but it has a high morbidity and mortality. In most cases it represents a metastasis of a digestive tumor, so it is essential its correct diagnosis in order to locate the primary tumor exhaustively. We describe the case of a 72-year-old woman who presents a constitutional syndrome with anemia, diagnosed by imaging and immunohistological tests of Krukenberg tumor in the ovary secondary to a blind adenocarcinoma. Before starting palliative chemotherapy, the patient presents obstructive symptoms, so the treatment we perform is removal of the primary tumor by right hemicolectomy and the pelvic mass that displaces the adjacent structures. This case demonstrates the importance of including this entity in the differential diagnosis of ovarian masses, since the therapeutic attitude can be affected.
