Resumen

In this paper I analyze the linguistic features of mid-thirteenth century Hebrew compilation Book of women’s love, and argue that the writing of the book was highly influenced by a Romance language –Catalan or Old Occitan, or both. I also discuss how this influence may have taken place, acknowledging the importance of oral language, and how it affects the grammar, the lexicon and the spelling of the Hebrew in which the compilation was written
