Resumen
Conductive polymers have attracted wide attention since their discovery due to their uniqueproperties such as good electrical conductivity, thermal and chemical stability, physical properties, and low cost. These characteristics make them good candidates to be used in the development of flexible and wearable sensors. However, not all conductive polymers meet these properties, so it is necessary to prepare conductive polymers that are capable of forming transparentand homogeneous sensor films, with good mechanical properties, as well as being selective andsensitive for the analyte of interest. In this study, an improvement of the mechanical propertiesof the films prepared with the conductive polymer poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) (PEDOT) has been carried out. In addition, the high mechanical performance PEDOT films have beenused and characterized as resistive sensors for monitoring the acid and basic environments.
