Resumo

In this work an approximation to mental health and suicide as a social reality and its incidence in the workplace is carried out. Since it is a multifactorial phenomenon, it is interesting to determine what are the elements that make them an integral element of the employment relationship. In other words, from a legal perspective (responsibilities, obligations, exercise of power of direction) are addressed what are the aspects or notes that must be present for mental health or disorders to be relevant from a labour legal perspective. For this purpose, we study and reflect on the jurisprudence on work accidents and suicide and on occupational risk prevention. In particular, the incidence of harassment and violence, work organization and work flexibility in mental health and suicidal behaviour are analysed.
