Abstract

Legislative analysis for a lay person is very difficult to be carried out, but it is an obligatory part of the assessment to have a minimally rigorous approach to the state of the question that concerns us. For purely educational purposes we will diff erentiate Spanish legislation from European legislation. We will also mention several documents generated by the General Council of Dentists of Spain for their historical meaning and because they express their position over time (although they have not finally materialized in regulations of legal application). Additionally we refer some political parties’ initiatives that, for the fi rst time, proposed a normative regulation of dental specialties in Spain. Finally, in this second part of the article, different strategies for its development are discussed, some of them clearly different from those that we have carried out to date.
