Resumen

Se aborda la creciente importancia social de los datos desde la perspectiva educativa mediante la alfabetización en datos (AD), tratando de integrarla en el amplio movimiento de la alfabetización informacional (Alfin). Para ello, se realizó una revisión sistemática de los documentos indizados en la colección principal de la Web of Science hasta marzo de 2023 que contienen ambos conceptos (AD y Alfin). Se caracterizaron sus aspectos externos: crecimiento de la investigación; identidad, nacionalidad, ámbito profesional y productividad de los autores. Además, se analizaron sus aspectos inter-nos para obtener una perspectiva detallada del proceso de investigación científica seguido: contexto (teoría, marcos, definiciones, modelos y disciplinas relacionadas), objetivos, metodología, resultados, conclusiones y recomendaciones. Se ofrece un análisis sincrónico y diacrónico del corpus de artículos seleccionados en los mencionados aspectos. Se evidencia el consenso de los investigadores sobre la urgencia de abordar la formación en datos tanto de forma general como específica en las diferentes disciplinas, lenguajes, entornos y niveles. Se constata el carácter emergente, transversal e interdisciplinar de la alfabetización en datos como parte de la Alfin, que se está aplicando en la educación de los estudiantes de los distintos niveles, los profesionales y la ciudadanía, aunque se evidencian las limitaciones formativas del estudiantado y muchos profesionales. Consecuentemente, es imperativo incluir la AD en la currícula y programas formativos para contribuir a la adquisición y desarrollo de estas competencias en los distintos ámbitos. Para ello, resulta clave el trabajo conjunto del profesorado, bibliotecarios, investigadores y otros profesionales. Se manifiesta la necesidad de profundizar en el campo teórico, práctico y aplicado; y de alcanzar una definición común, un modelo básico de competencias en AD dentro de la Alfin, así como submodelos que consideren la idiosincrasia de cada área de aplicación.
