Abstract

Is a project of consolidation and extension of good teaching practices multisubject started in the year 2013 / 2014 in the Faculty of nursing of the Campus of Melilla (UGR) using as a teaching methodology problem based learning (PBL), active methodology with long tradition in higher education. Method: Participated seven teachers, four subjects of the first semester of the first course and three hundred and ten students. Clinical cases in small groups (4-5 students), have worked defended orally and in writing, and instruments have been designed to assess the methodology and the results of learning. Results: Experience highly valued by students and faculty. Coordination, content, relationship between theoretical and practical aspects, development of skills, problem solving, research and apply ICT, critical attitude and understanding of the profession are especially significant aspects. Conclusions: Resolution processes and evaluation of problems, tutorials, collaborative work between students and teachers and reducing the workload favor the process of knowledge construction. They are the time this that methodology requires teachers and the need to maintain these performances in successive courses and their evaluation, the main weaknesses identified.
