Zusammenfassung
This paper presents some of the results of a teaching team's initial training, supervision and mentoring of new lecturers from an intergenerational perspective of teaching practice. Experienced and new lecturers from the Faculty of Political Science and Sociology participated in this initiative, which aimed to respond to the training needs expressed by new lecturers in a consultation promoted by the Faculty's Dean's Office. In addition, the team has been a tool for self-reflection on teaching practice in the face of the changes in teaching and learning methodologies brought about by the European Higher Education Area. The most significant results include the creation of an intergenerational community of teaching practice to accompany the teachers in this initial phase, derived from a peer mentoring process between experienced and new teachers, and a self-diagnostic study of the teaching methodologies promoted by the participating teachers.
