Abstract
Fantasy is between the least studied genres in Modern Greek Literature until now. This article tries to elucidate which the reasons for such a disregard -that often turns into disdain- are, analyses why such a research could be fruitful in the field of Modern Greek Studies, reviews the (scarce) existent bibliography and suggests which the theoretical and methodological bases for a serious study of Greek Fantastic Literature should be.
