The final purpose of this research thesis is to find a frame of reference that can serve as a parameter and foundation for valid artistic creation research. The aim is to specify the principles that give it foundation, the ontological basis from which it is constructed, the epistemological basis for the generation of knowledge in artistic creation, that is, how it originates, how it is used, how it is interpreted, what implications it has, etc. and finally, how research is carried out on the process of artistic creation, what are the methodological bases that allow the elaboration of useful and valuable artistic knowledge.
