Abstract
This doctoral thesis deals about the sociolinguistical research of emigrant groups’ spanish spoken by ecuatoguineans m, residing in Granada and is developed through the variatonist sociolinguistic methodology. The main goal is the research of linguistic accomodation of ecuatoguineans emigrants at the Granada variety. So, it'll analyzed five linguistic characteristics quantitatively: four phenomena of divergent use in the local variety and the standard modality: the siseo and distinction, the loss of -/d/-, the pronunciation of -/s/ and the use of diminutives, all with the aim of finding accomodations of Andalusian variety or the standard one. The comparison between both types of accommodation will be an indicator of the degree of vitality of the vernacular characteristics of Andalusian compared to the processes of convergence with the standard variety. In the same way, we study an interlingua phenomenon between Bantu and Spanish, referring to the neutralization of the rhotics /r/ and /ɾ/, which will help us, on the one hand, to know the sociolinguistic dimension of the phenomenon and, on the other, to know its survival. All these phenomena will be put in relation to some linguistic variables and social factors: sex, age, level of education, age of arrival, nationality of the interviewer and family language. This will help us to know the social and linguistic distribution of the dependent variables under study. Two qualitative analyzes will also be carried out: the first dedicated to the study of the linguistic attitude of Equatoguineans towards the local variety, towards their own way of speaking (Guinean Spanish) and on the importance of the mother tongues of Equatorial Guinea; and the second to the use of unstressed third person pronouns (lo, la, los, las, le and les) in this speech community. Finally, we present a description of certain features typical of the variety of Guinean Spanish, which survive in the speech of these individuals. In short, this work aims to be the first real example of a sociolinguistic work, I am referring to the study of the distribution of linguistic phenomena in relation to some social factors, thus contributing to the work of recognition and visibility of Equatoguinean Spanish and its speakers. , among which I include myself.
