Abstract
This article aims to analyze the miracles that the Virgin of Piety performed in the geographical demarcation of the ecclesiastical province of Granada -current dioceses of Málaga, Granada, Guadix, Jaén, Almería and Cartagena- during the Modern Age, according to Christian tradition. Due to the analysis of the main and only documentary source, the manuscript of Fray Juan Barroso, which dates from the mid-18th century, we will be able to carry out a historical and anthropological study about this topic, its ethnographic value and its social, economic and religious consequences, in the town and in the popular devotion to said image.
