Abstract

Since the creation of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), the development of new teaching models has been favored, in which the student is placed at the center and takes responsibility for his or her own learning. At the same time, Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) have been gaining prominence to the point that they have become an instrument that has favored the teaching-learning process, allowing, and favoring distance education situations. In this educational context, pedagogical leadership, understood as that oriented to the improvement of students' performance and performance, is presented as a response capable of promoting and improving both the quality of Higher Education and the teaching-learning processes. The purpose of this work is to analyze the incidence of pedagogical leadership on the academic results of Higher Education students. To this end, based on the educational leadership performance of the directors of the Faculty of Education of the International University of La Rioja, this was related to the main indicators of academic performance, so it has been possible to establish a relationship between pedagogical leadership and the performance or performance of students in Higher Education of the degrees of the Faculty of Education of the UNIR who participated in the study.
