Résumé

The rise of the Internet and increases in the speed of information sharing have produced technological advances that have considerably affected education. In order to respond to the educational demands of today's students, open educational resources (OERs) have emerged as free materials with digital support for the education and research environment. In this paper, we present research in the field of foreign language teaching, with the aim of analysing OERs oriented to pre-primary education and the first cycle of primary education that favour the teaching and learning of additional languages, as well as developing plurilingual and pluricultural competences. In total, 11 repositories of Spanish and foreign digital educational materials were explored, and 142 OERs were analysed. This study incorporated mixed research (quantitative and qualitative), recording the four dimensions of an OER: content (general and communicative-linguistic), design, technological features and accessibility. The results demonstrate that there are few OERs for education in the early ages. Moreover, the USA is the country with the most OERs for multilingual education, and the development of communicative-linguistic competences is very limited. In general, current OERs meet technological and design standards, but accessibility may be insufficient.
