Resumen
The aim of this paper is to present the study of the female remains from a population found in the excavation "abrigo d'en Ricardo Squella" (Algayarens; Ciudadela; Menorca; Spain). This population is from the Post-talayotic period (last centuries before the Christian age). There are 56 individuals in this population, including 24 men which were previously studied in 1982. This study is now completed by focusing on the adult women. Firstly, some basic and initial parameters are estimated, such as age and height, when possible. Then, the osteometric analysis of the skulss is carried out. Finally, a statistical analysis is developed in order to compare these skulls with those from other populations from the peninsula and the islands from previous and subsequent periods. The aim of this statistical analysis is to establish the link between human populations coming from different locations and periods. This helps to analyse the incidence of microevolution processes which, in this particular case, will have been influenced by insularity.
