Doctor by the Universidad de Granada with the thesis Las diatribas de teles: Estudio introductorio y comentario de los textos conservados 1990. Supervised by Dr. Jesús Lens Tuero.
Pedro Pablo FUENTES GONZÁLEZ is full professor of ancient Greek philology at the University of Granada (Spain). His main research interests are pedagogical and moral Greek literature related to Hellenistic and imperial philosophy, especially Cynicism and Stoicism. He is the author of Les diatribes de Télès, introduction, texte revu, traduction et commentaire des fragments, avec en appendice une traduction espagnole (Paris, Vrin 1998), and he has collaborated in the writing of various articles of the Dictionnaire des philosophes antiques (DPhA, Paris, CNRS). He is the director of the research group PAI HUM-986 «DIATRIBA: Filosofía, Retórica y Pedagogía en la Antigüedad Grecolatina». Since 2015 he is the editorial director of L’Année philologique.
