Abstract
Abstract: The thesis presents the institutional factors related to the desire, viability and intention amongst university and business students in the state of Nayarit, Mexico to create their own businesses. The general objective is to analise the factors in their environment which influence entrepreneurial attitudes, examining the framework of institutional theory and factors both formal and informal in university students and businessmen nayaritas. This is an empirical comparative study with other investigations carried out in different periods and countries i.e. Spain and Puerto Rico. The thesis concludes with a strategic action plan for the Business Studies Centre in the university centred around the university students who propose to undertake research on the real situation in the business world.
