Abstract
The objective of this work was to examine how a teaching unit based on Sport Education Model influences on the students’ level of amotivation in Physical Education class. A total of 22 Secondary Education students (11 boys and 11 girls; Mage = 14.36; SD = .49) and a Physical Education teacher participated. The design was a quasi –experimental study without a control group. The intervention program consisted of 11 sessions of indoor – football with pre- and post-test measures. The results have indicated that Sport Education Model decreased significantly the student’s level of amotivation during his/her learning – teaching process in Physical Education.
