Abstract

The objective of this work is to present an intervention program in which the practice of physical exercise has a fundamental role for the development of emotional skills in primary school children. The design and development of the program are motivated because traditionally, schools have considerate physical and emotional content less important, however, they are extremely importance for the integral education of the students. This work shows a programme addressed to children of the second cycle of Primary Education, which comprises sessions distributed in four thematic blocks (Emotional Awareness, Emotional Regulation, Emotional Autonomy and Social Competences for Life). To verify the effectiveness of the programme, the SENA evaluation instrument (Child and Adolescent Evaluation System) will be used. Finally, we will discuss the different possibilities to improve this programme, as well as the educational implications of its implementation.
