Abstract

The special characteristics of World Economics as an academic discipline along with the implementation of the European Higher Education Area call for the application of new didactic strategies in order to combine presentation-based techniques that promote student participation in face-to-face classes with the flexibility, accessibility and interactivity of e-learning. B-learning fits these needs and facilitates the continuous evaluation of the teaching-learning process. Our educational proposal, using for example the class on Monetary and Financial Issues within the World Economics program at the University of Granada, suggests a design for activities on knowledge consolidation and research that will further support activities of development within the program. The aim is to promote a greater autonomy and initiative in students when they manage their own learning. As a teaching resource, we can use the NTIC. We have considered the general and specific competences of the course and its conceptual, procedural and attitudinal contents. The result is an active, constructive and strategic teaching-learning process, in which both social intervention and individual control by students are of particular importance. Moreover, this didactic innovation can be applied to bilingual teaching.
