Resumen

Este trabajo examina el papel de la capacidad de combinación de conocimiento en la relación entre la innovación y el desempeño de las empresas. Utilizando una muestra de 205 Pymes de base tecnológica (EBT) españolas, comprueba que, en el sector estudiado, la capacidad de combinación de conocimiento modera positivamente la relación de la innovación de producto y el desempeño, pero no ocurre así para el caso de la innovación de proceso. Los resultados de esta investigación indican que esta capacidad puede ser necesaria para el éxito del desempeño innovador de las empresas tecnológicas donde la innovación es imprescindible, y por lo tanto, puede ser una clave para crear ventajas competitivas.
