Resumen

Se realiza un recorrido histórico de las manifestaciones artísticas realizadas en vidrio en los países de Asia oriental en los que este material tuvo una repercusión notable. Se sigue la evolución histórica del vidrio artístico desde su primera aparición en China alrededor del siglo VI a.C. hasta la actualidad, y dicha evolución se correlaciona con los aspectos históricos que supusieron una influencia importante en el desarrollo del vidrio como material artístico y, en especial, escultórico.
