Résumé

Thanks to audiovisual content streaming platforms, the labour market has exponentially grown for translators, specially regarding the translation modality of subtitling for deaf and hard-of-hearing (SDHH). However, or maybe precisely because of it, in spite of the research work conducted in this field, the translation quality of audiovisual products does no reach adequate standards. This paper presents the results of a corpus study composed of movies with SDHH pointing at the shortfalls and deficits in training of professional translators training.
