Abstract

First, a systematic review was carried out on the effects of exercise on sexual function and quality of sexual life related to climacteric symptoms, concluding that exercises for the pelvic floor muscles are the most beneficial for sexual function and mind-body disciplines improve the impact of menopausal symptoms on the quality of sexual life. Subsequently, a randomized controlled clinical trial was carried out in postmenopausal women, in which it was concluded that, after a 12-week Chi Kung exercise program, significant benefits in the impact of menopausal symptoms at the somatic and psychological level, the quality of life-related health, degree of satisfaction with female genital image, female sexual function, sleep quality, anxiety and depression, muscle strength and postural control.
