Análisis de la condición física en jóvenes jugadoras de tenis

Resumen

Los objetivos de este estudio fueron evaluar el nivel de condición física de jóvenes jugadoras de tenis e identificar posibles diferencias entre grupos de edad. Las 11 mejores jugadoras alevines (11-12 años) e infantil (13-14 años) a nivel regional completaron una batería de 14 pruebas físicas compuestas por: capacidad de salto bilateral y unilateral, velocidad de sprint de 10 y 20 m, lanzamiento de balón medicinal simulando los principales golpes, dinamometría manual, velocidad de servicio, y un test específico de resistencia en tenis. Las jugadoras de la categoría infantil obtuvieron valores superiores en todas las pruebas, con diferencias estadísticamente significativas en 10 de las 14 pruebas, aunque las pruebas de lanzamientos de balón medicinal y la dinamometría manual, fueron las que presentaron un tamaño del efecto superior. Estos resultados pueden servir como referencia para entrenadores y preparadores físicos para la evaluación y seguimiento de las deportistas en categorías de formación.
