Abstract

In the age of cyberculture it is crucial that future audiovisual translator acquire new digital skills.With that aim, a situated learning activity has been designed, consisting of the translation of a transmedia audiovisual product. Transmedia stories are well suited to our aims as they are developed on multiple platforms, with their own complex universe. The results show that students acquire skills of social learning and knowledge management, and augment their communicative abilities to search and select information in cyberspace. They become more receptive, collaborative and creative.
