Abstract

In this paper are described the argumentative skills levels in a sample of university students and its relation to epistemological beliefs are described. To identify the argumentative skills of students an instrument of open questions on the issue of unemployment was built. To measure epistemological beliefs an instrument consisting of 63 items (Schommer, 1990) was applied. Analyzing the two instruments was performed and the reliability and validity was obtained.
