Resumo
Th is article is an analysis of two methods for the teaching of languages for specifi c purposes: Tourism, published by OUP (from the “Oxford English for Careers” series), and Bienvenidos: Español para profesionales de Turismo y hostelería, published by EnClave ELE. Aft er considering the structure, contents and exercises for learning vocabulary in both methods, a typology of lexical exercises is established: lists, matching exercises, semantic groups and visual exercises. According to these two specifi c methods, some notes on the similarities or divergences in the teaching of the language of tourism in Spanish and English languages are also indicated.
